You know, splurging on chic Airbnbs, Michelin restaurants, and enjoying the South of France like the fancy pants we secretly dream of (even if we’re not the great-great-great grandkids of Countess Emma of Provence).

And our pet peeve? Wasting valuable time and energy on fake butter, flaky people…and that fluffy piece on “Best Luberon Villages to Visit” by someone who spent 48 hours in the area.

We’re Jenny and Jérôme, the wife-and-hubby duo behind this travel site.

The Luberon Spy was born when we took the plunge and moved to the sunny South. After years of Parisian life, followed by a Normandy stint, a twist of fate landed us right in the heart of Provence—in a quaint, little Luberon village.

Once settled, we turned into weekend warriors, conquering spot after spot with our camera and tiny dachshund in tow. Before we knew it, we’d checked off almost every Luberon village on our must-see list.

Then, our international squad started dropping in. Suddenly, we were swamped with questions and requests for insider tips.

We get it. The online searches, guidebook skimming, and bookmarking of blogs—it’s enough to make you dizzy like eating too much Chantilly crème with Nutella even when you told the waitress, “No, do not put those in my dessert, please.”

You need the real deal.

Like locals who breathe the Luberon village life, speak French + English, and are chatty with Christophe and Aurélie down the street.

You know, the types who stroll to a village café for breakfast (sometimes half-asleep sans shower), can sketch a map of the Luberon villages from wine-soaked memory…and have lived in the region through winter, spring, summer, and fall. 🎵
